How creativity is being strangled by the law
I like how he spoke of tools of creativity. How we use digital technology to have a voice and to say what we feel through our computers, a new literacy (his three examples were hilarious). Recreating digital technologies to say something differently, through other peoples content.Lessig says that this brings fourth the copyright law issues. He talks about how the law has not responded to the use of other peoples technologies. And our generation rejects copyright and fights the copyright law, usually in form of just ignoring it.
He says that this needs to make sense, things concerning copyright law needs a different solution, that legalizes "what it is to be young". And that the work should have the opportunity to be made free to use if not used for personal gain, and that they should exist simultaneously and live from each other.
I agree with Lessig. Copyright laws should loosen up and let people use thier content for creative use. It is like a new art form a new way that our generation likes to speak and be expressive.
